homeparty plannerpicturesinfo about me
To me a keeper is:
1.) In your eyes he is the sexiest man you had ever seen.
2.) Someone with positive goals, and has a plan in effect to achieve them.
3.) Someone who has suffered their trials of life and grew from the experiences. A person, who tries to find the sliver lining, no matter how dark the cloud.
4.) Someone with generosity and compassion. A giver, not a taker.
5.)Charming, funny and intelligent, a gracious host and excellent cook. Your friends complement you by saying "I wish I had a man like yours....."
6.) Someone who has enough interests to share in, but enough differences to learn new things from eachother.
7.)Someone who daydreams of marrying you and being with your children. Is he crazy? Crazy in love with you, you lucky girl!
8.)Someone assertive enough to make his own decisions in life, strong enough to disagree and voice his own opinion...no doormats please!!
9.) He spoils you rotten in the bedroom..to the point that thinking about being with another man makes about as much sense as cutting your own leg off with a rusty butterknife.
10.) He compliments you in so many ways, that you have become a better person than you were before you met him. And you impact his life in an equally beautiful and meaningful way.

2002 Thought - Me in Relationships
Okay I don't usually post much about myself (cept lately), but I am posting now - for me and to understand myself.
After have been through a rough marriage and divorce (still is), I think I have learned an important life lesson. I have learned that I deserve love. I mean love in the simplest form - a love that means you put someone before you. When you put someone before yourself, you want the best for them. You treat them, as you want to be treated. You are happy for/with them. This is what I want.
I do not have to "settle" for anything less then that. I do not have to "compromise" or come to an understanding. If it is too idealistic - then so be it.
I would rather be by myself and happy, then feeling less then wonderful to be with someone. I don't want to wonder if it is out there - I want to know it is with the person I am with.
Because I have set the standard and I am not willing to take anything less - then I don't want to explore. I don't want to take a risk on finding Mr. Close Enough. So I don't.
I am very good friends with many men. Because friendship is a safety net for me. It works.
I will date others. I usually date the players, or ones that are commitment phoebes - so that there is no risk in getting close.
Every now and then I meet someone who doesn't fall into either category. I start thinking ... well maybe ....
But the fear of it all sets in. I react. I do things to make sure he doesn't really like me. It is like subconsciously I am saying, "Oh he will loose interest - then I will know he wasn't the one anyway".
It isn't self destruct mode - because I do not let any of it really get me - doesn't hurt. But it is a wall. It keeps everyone at arms length reach.
Do I want to change? Not sure that I do. But I am afraid if I don't - I will miss him when he does appear in my life.
Anyway, thanks for letting me get it out.
A New Year, new thoughts,
Vixie

Jessica's Sun Sign is Sagittarius ...
As a future-oriented Sagittarius, the ninth sign of the zodiac, you are considered
the most prophetic of the signs, Jessica, because you have the urge to understand
the meaning of life. Also the most mobile sign of the zodiac, you explore beyond
physical and mental boundaries, and thrive on freedom and liberty.
Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, is the ruler of Sagittarius, and brings optimism and joy to life. Jupiter is also associated with a person's spiritual beliefs and philosophic standards.
Sagittarius is the third fire sign. This fiery influence is like a candle in the dark, lighting the way to knowledge and wisdom. You walk through life high-spirited and openhearted, always seeking the truth. You are farsighted and goal-directed, Jessica, and are gifted in grasping general principles.
Sagittarius rules the ninth house of the chart, the section associated with the exploration of the intellectual mind or the physical world. Therefore, this house stands for religion, philosophy, higher education, as well as long journeys.
Sagittarius is a mutable sign, making you a communicator and teacher. Since you have the natural ability to gain profound insight into scientific and spiritual fields, you feel that it is your mission to contribute your knowledge on to the world.
One of your main strengths, Jessica, is that you achieve your goals through the power of positive thinking. Your happy-go-lucky, future-oriented nature opens many doors for you. You are direct, honest, and jovial, which makes you a very humane and amiable friend, lover, and coworker.
Of course, you also have some weaknesses, Jessica; due to your disposition, your head is often in the clouds, and you are oblivious to reality. You also run the risk of being hypocritical, and get so opinionated and dogmatic that you impose your "truth" upon others. You also don't tolerate any kind of restriction, and develop restlessness and unquenchable wanderlust.
Your Rising Sign is Sagittarius ...
Optimism and enthusiasm are defining terms for you, as a Sagittarius Rising.
Particularly drawn to travel, Jessica, you love exploration, as your mind is
open to all new avenues of thought. You are idealistic, full of energy, and
adventurous, and want to expand your boundaries to discover new possibilities.
Your ambitions are geared to large-scale goals and you love to overcome obstacles, live up to challenges, and reach out for the stars to bring them down to earth. You can be considered a person of the future, Jessica, because your eyes are always focused on what lies ahead of you. You demand freedom, and find yourself drawn to protecting those whose freedom may be infringed upon, such as children or animals. Fighting for any cause you find worthwhile is second nature to you.
You are constantly searching for the true meaning of our existence in this world, and therefore, you are fascinated by philosophical, religious, and scientific truths. At the same time, you are ethical in your thinking and have high moral standards.
Since you are such a positive thinker, Jessica, your sense of humor always helps you to bounce back quickly, when you are sad. You rarely ever walk down the melancholic path and feel sorry for yourself. Even disappointments don't tend to affect you that much, because your idealism will pull you beyond.
When it comes to love, you are a bit fickle, and you
tend to move from one love affair to the next. It's hard for you to settle down,
Jessica! Your need for expansion and growth is unquenchable, and sometimes you
think one partner can't satisfy that in you. But with age, you will realize
the value of getting more stable and are able to make a true commitment.
